Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office For her role, she was awarded an Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress and Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by An Ensemble Comedy.
Anne, her mother, was a performer in church theater when she was young, which instilled a love for theater and performances in Jenna. Jenna's mom Anne used to perform in church dramas as a child which sparked an enthusiasm for theatre.
Fischer is an actor with the theater background. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. After starring in Steve Martin's most recent show Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy featuring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she went on to perform the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey launched a podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. The podcast has since been a huge success, landing within the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads within its initial two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Awards in January 2021.
She has written two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide that outlines her experience in Hollywood as an actor in the field as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends that Were There an account of the most memorable relationship they shared as well as their experience watching The Office.
