Julia Fiona Roberts, born 28th October 1967 at Atlanta in the United States to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. She is the fourth Roberts generation living in Atlanta from her great-grandfather who was a farmer John Pendleton Roberts. Early on, her father was interested in theatre. When he was a college student in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in several shows. While stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, he received his induction into the air force in the year 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was part of the show as well. They got married in the year 1955 and the couple's first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter went to Tulane University at New Orleans In 1957, the city of Louisiana where the couple had left the Air Force of the United States. In 1960, the family relocated from Louisiana to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working at Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter along with Betty Lou began producing a children's television program in Georgia, Decatur called Bum Bum and His Buddies. They financed the production themselves. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou established their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for 6 years. They were joined by Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) and Julia (also known as Julie) in this time.
